Dear friends and supporters of Salvation Army Germany (Heilsarmee Deuschland) und of Hildegard Bleick Women Shelter,

Looking into the world today, one can see strange and disappointing things and events. Hate, grudges, evil, selfishness, love of money, striving to attain power through any means necessary and so much more! Pretty bleak I would say! It looks like there is no more goodness, or laughter or value on people, tendencies that seems to affect also the children, our hope for the future.
But is not entirely true. Sometimes rays of hope and love shine in our midst. These rays of light are coming from kids who under the loving guidance of their professors, learn to care about others less fortunate than them, learn to give away and invest in spiritual and ethical things, values that will accompany them through their life.

Over 300 children from Adalbert Stifter Schule under the tutelage of their teachers, Frau Koch Bianca and Frau Koch Yasmine have donated a large amount of non-perishable food to Hildegard Bleick Haus. Under the Theme of Thanksgiving, the children learn about being thankful for what they have, to share with others and learned about a big problem, rising in the world: homelessness.

I take this opportunity to be myself thankful not only for the wonderful gifts that were delivered to us, yesterday 07.10.2024, but also for wonderful teachers, children and teachings. May the Lord that loves us all, repay hundredfold your willingness to give and desire to take care of somebody else’s needs. God Bless You!
